This is a generational recipe and is not the most accurate so be advised about imbalances in ingredients

Ingredients

Scale:
  • 1 kg flour
  • 2 cups ghee
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp salt 10 grams
  • 1 tbsp camphor
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 cups Desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup Corn starch
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp camphor spice mix (see notes)

Method

  1. Toast sesame until light brown
  2. Preheat oven to 180
  3. Sift the flour and add the dry ingredients to it Baking powder and salt
  4. Heat the Ghee/butter and add it to the dry ingredients
  5. add vanilla, spice and sesame to mixture as well
  6. knead and incorporate before adding it well and then adding yogurt
  7. Continue to need until mixture is homogeneous and roll in to 1-1.5 cm thick sheet
  8. Cut out circles and roll out remain parts to cut out again, continue until little to none left
  9. Bake for 30 min and then let cool over night
  10. Coat biscuits in coating mix and Enjoy

Notes

  1. camphor spice mix is a Sudanese blend of cinnamon : cardamom : cloves in a weight ratio of 2:1:1 cinnamon : cardamom: cloves
